1930s polka dot printed cotton clown costume. Appears to be homemade for a theatre production as evident by the missing tag at center back neck. 5 patch pockets in different shapes and fabrics are scattered across the jumpsuit and look like they were added some time after the 60s/70s. Oversized silhouette with voluminous sleeves and pant legs. Drawstring neck tie. Enclosed elastic cuffs and hem openings release into ruffles. Snap front closure.
Good vintage condition. Some faint spots throughout fabric which should wash out. Original snaps are nonfunctional and have been replaced with new ones. Elastic at cuffs appears to have been replaced. Mending patches on left back hip. Drawstring tunnel at back neck has a hole. Small pinholes at back left pant leg. Patch pockets have some frayed edges.
Sleeve Length: 26”
